It was vitally important to add a warm, modern yet traditional flair to this Montecito, CA farmhouse through a ground-up design-build approach. Modern farmhouse decor seamlessly combines country elements with contemporary touches, featuring clean lines, neutral color palettes, layered textures, and natural materials for a timeless and character-rich aesthetic. 

Throughout the home, neutral colors complement the wood elements, offering a cohesive and inviting atmosphere. In a modern farmhouse, darker and lacquered woods are often incorporated, accompanied by complementary colors beyond neutrals. The design also embraces additional decorations and increased use of metal accent pieces, contributing to the overall charm and style of the space.
